Suni, I loved hearing your voice in this interview, just reminding me how much I miss you. I wish you had mentioned “Sparkles and Shadows,” a book I truly loved that speaks of who you are. I have your two CDs, and look forward to the next one. If I ever make it out to Vegas to visit my sisters, I’ll make sure that
we have a chance to get together.
Bless you and have a wonderful 2010.
Love and hugs…Judie
Suni it was great listening to you again!! what a wonderful music to share with our kids.
Thank you for your inspiring melodies.
Love Sofia.
Suni’s capacity to delight and inspire is as inexhaustible as she is! I loved hearing her insights and experiences and the knowledge she brings from many decades of many languages, cultures, instruments and folk traditions. I think her greatest gift is the one we need the most: honoring and nourishing soul, in children and adults. Thank you Suni!
I have had the pleasure of seeing Suni perform with children.
What a light she is. Thank you for having her on the show.
I cried when she sang the first song and I don’t even know
Spanish! It is a reminder that music touches us on a soul
level. I found this show very inspiring and so I’m passing it
on to some wonderful parents of young children that I know.
Thank goodness there are people like Suni to help us remember
what is important and give us the tools to do it.
Suni thank you for all you have done and continnue to do for our kids. Allowing them to express themselves and communicate with the world through your music and songs is an experience that they will never forget and will help them become better human beings.
Is always a great pleasure to hear you singing.
Suni, is great to hear you and your songs.
You are really inspiring for kids and adults.
And your son Ramiro is awesome too! He writes beautiful songs.
It was great to hear you and this very nice couple, Todd and Laura.
What a delight, Suni! I’ve listened to your radio program 3 times, and I intend to send it out to more friends and family so they can hear it.
You are an inspiration to all who meet and hear you! When you came to NYC last September and we performed (me on cello of course) for the children at Juguemos a cantar, and at the Taller Latinoamericano and the People’s Voice Cafe, people were so delighted to hear your wonderful music. You are part of my life every day!
Besitos,
Martita
Dear Suni,
As always, it was wonderful to hear you, and I loved what you said about learning and getting your inspiration from the children themselves. Your music, so true to your worldview, is so rich, warm and human, not pretending that problems don’t exist, but reinforcing people’s strength to change the way things are and to help each other. And the story about your grandfather is my favorite one in SPARKLES AND SHADOWS, which people will love reading too. People who know only your children’s music should also listen to your beautiful, poignant adult music. I miss you.
Love,
Mara
Suni-
Your music is so enchanting. I can see why children love it too, as it is a wonderful and easy way to relate to others. I could listen to you perform for hours, in any language- you are a treasure. I’ve had the privilege to meet you a few times and experience your performance up close – a total delight! ( through Martha- I am her student ).
